Faith-Based Outreach

Faith Outreach Director

Maryland’s leaders have stood with the faith community to ensure equal access to the State’s civic, social, economic, health and political affairs by all Marylanders.

The Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives has established working relationships with many faith leaders and organizations that serve Maryland’s communities. The Interfaith Outreach Director works to foster and maintain effective communications and partnerships with Maryland’s faith community and the governor’s office on topics including domestic violence, human trafficking, homelessness, feeding the hungry, and emergency and disaster preparedness, and addressing threats and vulnerabilities to faith organizations.

Faith-based outreach efforts also connect faith-based organizations with resources from state and federal agencies and other Maryland organizations including grants, food, school supplies, and more through direct partnerships, workshops, conferences, and other events.
