MEDIA ADVISORY: 2019 National Day of Prayer

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives will host the 2019 National Day of Prayer Breakfast with guest of honor, Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford. Maryland faith leaders will celebrate the National Day of Prayer and participate in an interfaith dialogue. Established in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, the National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May that brings together all faiths and traditions to pray for the nation. This year, over 100 faith leaders representing communities across the state will gather and pray for Marylanders, the state, and the nation, reflecting on this year’s theme of “Love for All Humanity.”
