MEDIA ADVISORY: Governor’s Commission on African Affairs Hosts the First Workforce Resource Fair for the African Community in Maryland

 

WHAT: The Governor’s Commission on African Affairs of the Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives hosts the first workforce resource fair for the African community in Maryland. The fair is led by the commission’s Workforce Development and Education Subcommittee and supported by the Entrepreneurship Academy of Bowie State University. 

Approximately 20 organizations will participate in the fair to offer resources and services for job seekers, businesses, and community members to include resume writing, career pathways, labor market trends, education training, apprenticeships, financial literacy, English classes for immigrants, and more.
