MEDIA ADVISORY: First Lady Yumi Hogan Joins Anne Arundel County Food Bank to Deliver Holiday Gifts to Women in Recovery and their Children at Chrysalis House

WHAT:

First Lady Yumi Hogan joins the Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives and its partner, Anne Arundel County Food Bank, to deliver holiday gifts to women in recovery and their children at Chrysalis House in Crownsville. The Anne Arundel County Food Bank provides the donated gifts.

Chrysalis House is a premier provider of addiction and mental health treatments and residential facility for women and their children. Mothers recovering from opioid addiction can stay with their children under age 10 and learn parenting and life skills. Chrysalis is currently serving more than 100 women and children annually. Among their signature programs, weekly art therapy sessions help their clients find peace through creativity and to express themselves in a healthy way.

The Anne Arundel County Food Bank is focused on the food security and well-being of Marylanders by offering access to food and nutritional supplements; basic necessities; medical and clothing programs; and more.
