First Lady Yumi Hogan Joins Anne Arundel County Food Bank to Deliver Holiday Gifts to Children, Women in Recovery

Addiction Treatment Services of Chrysalis House Transform Lives

ANNAPOLIS, MD – First Lady Yumi Hogan today joined the Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives and Anne Arundel County Food Bank to deliver holiday gifts to women in recovery and their children at Chrysalis House in Crownsville. The Anne Arundel County Food Bank provided the donated gifts.

“Christmas is all about love,” said First Lady Yumi Hogan. “As a mom, grandmother, and First Lady of Maryland, I believe no child should be without a gift during the holidays. Our state has such a spirit of giving and sharing love, I wanted to help spread the joy, especially to those in recovery.”

This event also recognized organizations changing Maryland for the better through their services to our citizens. The Anne Arundel County Food Bank is focused on the food, security, and well-being of Marylanders by offering access to food and nutritional supplements; basic necessities; medical and clothing programs; and more. They also assist the Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives to expand its partnerships and connect Marylanders with resources from state government and other partner organizations.

Chrysalis House is a premier provider of addiction and mental health treatments, and a residential facility for women and their children.
