ANNAPOLIS, MD– In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives today hosted the inaugural International Women’s Day Forum. Close to one hundred participants from across Maryland joined the forum, which was themed, “Uplift and Empower Women in 2018.”

“Today, we celebrate the empowerment of women and the progress made in the movement for women’s rights,” said Steve McAdams, Executive Director for the Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives. “The Hogan administration is committed to ensuring that all women have the resources they need to succeed, and this day is an important recognition of their contributions to our communities.”
