The Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives oversees eight ethnic and cultural commissions, established to connect those ethnic communities to state resources, and to effectively address their social, business, education, and health needs. Each commission forms sub-committees to tackle those areas. 115 commissioners represent over 2.5 million Marylanders.

Governor’s Commission on African Affairs
Governor’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs
Governor’s Commission on Hispanic Affairs
Governor’s Commission on Middle Eastern American Affairs
Governor’s Commission on South Asian American Affairs

If you would like to attend public meetings of the commissions and join the GO SEE (GO Serve & Educate Ethnic Communities) initiative, click each commission page above or visit the events calendar.
